The 2025 World-Class Scientific Journals List was recently released. The list was compiled by the Institute of Scientific and Technical Information of China (ISTIC) in collaboration with relevant research institutions. It is based on the World Science Citation Index and an evaluation system for world-class scientific journals. It includes a total of 6,132 world-class scientific journals from 55 countries and regions, in 23 languages. A total of 353 Chinese journals were included.

Fourteen Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) journals were included in the list, covering multiple disciplines, including ocean engineering and materials engineering.

Building on this recognition, SJTU will continue to strengthen the academic organization and leadership, academic influence, and social impact of its journals, aiming to develop more world-class scientific journals with global influence in a broader range of disciplines.
