On July 10, 2026, Med-X (ISSN: 2731-8710) achieved a major milestone by being officially indexed in Clarivate’s Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI).

All articles published since its launch in July 2023 are now fully searchable in the Web of Science Core Collection, and the journal is projected to receive its first official Impact Factor in 2027. Founded by Shanghai Jiao Tong University and published by Springer Nature, Med-X is a high-quality, open-access journal dedicated to showcasing breakthrough discoveries and cutting-edge technologies in Biomedical Engineering (BME). Its inclusion in ESCI underscores the journal’s strict peer-review quality and its growing academic contribution to the global scientific community.
